National leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated at Azerbaijan University
Today is the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev. On this occasion, a commemorative event was held at Azerbaijan University. Before the event, the University team visited the Alley of Honors, laid flowers in front of the national leader's monument, and commemorated his memory.
The memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, famous statesman Aziz Aliyev and professor Tamerlan Aliyev was also honored.
After the visit to the Alley of Honor, a round table was organized in the academic building of the University. At the event organized by the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Heydar Aliyev's unique historical services to the state and people of Azerbaijan were reviewed and his rich political heritage was discussed.
The speeches of the event guests: the head of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of Sustainable Development of the ANAS Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Dr. Phil., prof. Sakit Huseynov and the chairman of the “Support of Journalists to Diaspora Activities” Public Union, journalist Fuad Huseynzada was devoted to the main principles of Heydar Aliyev's humanitarian strategy based on national interests, purposeful and perfectly prepared.
Head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Political Sciences Elvin Talyshinsky spoke about the multifaceted activities of the national leader in the direction of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is already a thing of the past. Elvin Talyshinsky noted that this political course, which was successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, ensured the victory of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War.
Lectures of the Department, PhD in Political Sciences Eldar Jafarov made a report on “Azerbaijan and the Holy See relations as the success of Heydar Aliyev's diplomacy”, PhD in history Abbas Gurbanov on ”Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, which Heydar Aliyev described as one nation, two states”.
The event ended with a demonstration of a video dedicated to the national leader.
