A meeting was held with graduates and students who participated in the Patriotic War at Azerbaijan University. The event called "A victorious country, a victorious nation" was jointly organized by the Department of Translation and Philology and the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature. The meeting held in the "Shusha" auditorium is dedicated to the dear memory of our martyrs who rose to the peak of martyrdom by showing great heroism in the 44-day war. It was noted at the event that the Azerbaijani youth demonstrated his love for the Motherland to the whole world with his determination, steadfastness, and struggle during the Patriotic War.

First, the dear memory of the martyrs of the Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the event, department heads Ulviyya Rahimova and Samira Mammadova greeted veteran students and wished them good health and success in their educational life. Gorkhmaz Guliyev, professor of the department of Azerbaijani language and literature, Fazila Zakirova, associate professor of the department of translation and philology, Tunzala Verdiyeva, head of the department of organization of social work, Goshgar Garayev of the faculty of business and economics spoke and emphasized the importance of the victory achieved by Azerbaijan at the military level, and the upcoming "November 8 - Victory Day" "and congratulated the event participants on the occasion of "November 9 - National Flag Day".

Later, the veteran graduates who participated in the event - Nurizadeh Nurlan Nurali oglu (Faculty of Humanities, Specialization in Translation, 2020), Ibrahimov Javad Fuad oglu (Faculty of Humanities, Specialization in Translation, 2020), Khalilsoy Metin Mirza oglu (Faculty of Humanities, Specialization in Translation, 2020) and veteran students Medinov Elvin Mikayilovich (Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Computer Engineering major, II year), Nazarov Nacmeddin Mammad oglu (Faculty of Business and Economics, Accounting major, III year), Aziz Mehman Mahir oghlu (Faculty of Humanities, Translation specialty, II year) talked about the road to victory they passed in 44 days.
