At the joint initiative of the Training and Learning Center (TLC) and the Department of Finance and Accounting of Azerbaijan University, a lecture was organized for the academic staff and students of the University on “Possibilities of applying Islamic banking in Azerbaijan”. The lecture was delivered by the Chairman of the Board of the Studying of Economic Resources Public Union, PhD in Economics Ruslan Atakishiyev. 

Opening the event, the head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Associate Professor Nariman Boyukkishi introduced the guest to the participants. Next was the presentation of Ruslan Atakishiyev's improved book titled “Joint Business”. The book is intended for entrepreneurs, business beginners, young entrepreneurs, consultants, and those interested.

Then, the speaker informed the students about the essence and conditions of Islamic finance and banking, common and distinctive aspects of Islamic and traditional banking, and opportunities and features of the application of Islamic banking in our country.

During the event, discussions were held on the topic of the lecture and questions were answered.

The event was attended by academic, administrative and technical staff, as well as the students of the University.
