Shashidhar Channappa, the rapporteur of the International Conference on “Social Work & Social Research” and the head of the Department of Social Work of the Oxford College of India, met with the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Azerbaijan University majoring in Social Work. The guest gave a lecture on “Domestic Workers” to undergraduate students majoring in Social Work, and on “Urban Homeless” to postgraduate students majoring in Social work in various areas of life. The lectures dealt with social problems in India, the role of Social Work and social worker in solving social problems, ways to solve similar social problems of Azerbaijan and India.

It should be noted that the International Conference on “Social Work & Social Research” was held in Baku on November 24-25, 2023, hosted by Azerbaijan University. 156 reports from 32 countries of the world were heard at the two-day international hybrid scientific conference. The conference is organized by Azerbaijan University, Sakarya University in Turkey, Washington University in St. Louis (USA) and the Center for Social Studies.
