At the meeting of the Department of Economics and Management, an initial defense of thesis on “Directions for improving the efficiency of services in health sector (Comparative analysis for Azerbaijan and Turkey)” prepared by doctoral student Ebru Ibrahim gizi Cengiz for a PhD in Economics took place. At the meeting, chaired by Prof. of the Department of Economics and Management Rovshan Guliyev, the reviewers were Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Prof. Aliaga Ismayilzade, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics Ibrahim Guliyev, members of the Commission, Dr. of Economics, Prof. Mubariz Bagirov, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Prof. Nariman Boyukkishi, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Prof. Elshad Yusifov, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics, Associate Prof. Vugar Nasibov, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics Sahib Mammadov, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics Jala Aliyeva, Dr. of Philosophy in Economics Oruj Gasymly, Senior lecturers Ruhangiz Aliyeva, Tural Gojaev, Khanym Guliyeva, lecturers of the Department Dr. of Philosophy in Economics Tair Garayev, Vafa Azizova, Ulvi Suleymani. Chairman introduced applicant to the discussion participants, informed about her scientific and pedagogical activities.

Applicant informed reviewers about scientific relevance of thesis, goals and objectives of research, main scientific innovations, acquainted them with brief content of the work, answered the questions asked.

Then the academic staff of the Department discussed the presented thesis and highly appreciated it as a completed research work.

In conclusion, it was noted that for obtaining a PhD in Economics, the thesis meets the requirements of the Supreme Attestation Commission for the thesis, and it was decided to recommend it for the next stage of defense.
