At the meeting of the Department of Finance and Economics of Azerbaijan University, Nigar Alakbarova's dissertation on " Пути повышения социально-экономической эффективности системы медицинских услуг в Азербайджане " for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics was discussed. At the meeting chaired by the Deputy Head of the Department of Finance and Economics, assistant professor Nariman Boyukkishi, the scientific supervisor of the doctoral student prof. Rovshan Guliyev, reviewer Ph.D. in Economics Ibrahim Guliyev and the teacher of the department Tural Gojayev took part.

External reviewer Ph.D. in Economics Rumella Jafarova, members of the commission Ph.D. in Economics Saadat Humbataliyeva, Kamran Abdullayev, teachers of the department Ruhangiz Aliyeva, Polad Azizov, Khanim Guliyeva, Ulviya Mehdiyeva joined the discussion online.

The chairman introduced the applicant to the participants of the discussion and informed about his scientific and pedagogical activity. The applicant informed about the scientific relevance of the dissertation, the goals and objectives of the research, the main scientific innovations, informed the participants about the

brief content of the work and answered the questions. Then the teaching staff of the department discussed the presented dissertation and estimated it as a completed scientific research work.

In the end, it was noted that the dissertation meets the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, and it was decided to recommend it to the next stage of defense.
