The next meeting of the Erasmus project  "Establishment of the Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR), in which Azerbaijan University is a partner, was organized at Odlar Yurdu Univesity. The meeting was opened by the vice-rector of the university, assistant professor Gabil Gafarov, who informed the guests about the innovations implemented at the university  and wished success to the event.

Issues related to the preparation of the 3rd work plan package of the project, including the Strategic Plan of the Rectors’ Conference and the Action Plan covering the years 2023-2025 were discussed at the meeting.  It was reported that the implementation of the 3rd work plan under the guidance of the French Education Institute, one of the foreign partners of the project, started in March of this year, and in this direction a number of online meetings were held with the participation of Baku Business University (which is the coordinator of the project) and French Education Institute.

Gulshan Bayramova, Director of University-Industry Cooperation Department of Baku Business University, noted that a survey was conducted with the participation of 48 vice-rectors from 20 universities in order to make a decision regarding the committees to be created within the framework of the project in accordance with the work plan. As the results of survey, it was decided to establish the relevant committees based on the needs at the national level, as well as the results obtained from the survey. Thus, committees are supposed to operate in  Educational Affairs and Quality Assurance under the supervision of Mykolas  Romeris University of Lithuania, Scientific Affairs under the supervision of the Royal University of Technology of Sweden, Strategic Management of Higher Education Institutions under the supervision of the Polish Rectors’ Conference, International Relations under supervision of Belgian EFMD accreditation organization, and Student Affairs under the supervision of the French Institute of Education. It was reported that the first full training of CRUE ,KTN, MRU/LURK, CRASP by  CPU/FEI will be organized in October 2022.

During the meeting, the division of work was carried out among the working group, and the mechanism of the planned tasks was discussed. Gulshan Bayramova noted that within the framework of the project, the preparation of the strategic plan of the Rectors’ Conference covering the years 2023-2025 will begin soon.

Rector of Odlar  Yurdu University, professor Ahmad Valiyev ,vice-rectors of the universities that are members of the project  consortium and other leading persons participated in the meeting, Nushaba Guliyeva , Rector’s Advisor ,head of the International Master’s and Doctoral Center, represented Azerbaijan University.

It should be noted that Baku Business University   is the coordinator of the Erasmus + project “Establishment of the Conference of Rectors’ in Azerbaijan" (ECAR), in which Azerbaijan University is a partner. The main goal of the project covering years 2021-2024 is to develop a national network and cooperation between universities and stakeholders through the creation of a conference of rectors in accordance with national development strategies.
