The next visit was organized to EFMD Global in Belgium within the framework of “Erasmus+” project “Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan” (ECAR), of which Azerbaijan University is a partner. The purpose of the visit, which took place from December 12 to 17, 2022, is to strengthen the potential for internationalization of higher education. The Azerbaijan University is represented in the events and seminars of the project held in Belgium by Nushaba Guliyeva, Rector's Advisor, Director of the Center for International Graduate and Doctoral Studies and Bakhtiyar Badalov, Head of International Relations Department. 

During this visit, EFMD Global and European partners of the project will hold seminars and presentations on such important topics as quality assurance and internationalization, internationalization of research and education, development of internationalization strategies, international projects, German Academic Exchange Service and the like. It is also planned to hold a business meeting of the event participants with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission on “Erasmus+” projects. 

The visit is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, about 50 representatives – rectors, vice-rectors and other responsible persons from 17 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, members of the project consortium, as well as by representatives of Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, University of Alicante in Spain, the Spanish  Conference of Rectors, the European International Education Association, the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as foreign partners. 

It should be noted that Baku Business University is the coordinator of the project implemented with the financial support of the European Commission. The main objective of the project covering the years 2021-2024 is to develop a national network and cooperation between universities and other stakeholders through the establishment of a conference of rectors in accordance with national development strategies.
