Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan University Asif Pashayev, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Gabil Aliyev and teacher of the department Elchin Hasanov's textbook "The universe of bytes and from 8 bits to 10,000,000,000,000" has been published.

The textbook is dedicated to the latest developments in the field of information technology, the classification of threats, malware, types of viruses and their symptoms, destructive capabilities. The book consists of 13 chapters. Each chapter summarizes up-to-date information on computer technology. In particular, the newly created types of viruses, their destructive potential, the nature of the damage they can inflict were studied. The book also researches various computer technologies and adds factual information.

The textbook is important in terms of collecting modern facts in the field of computer technology and information security, it is useful for undergraduate and graduate students of ICT-oriented specialties, young researchers.
