Traditional personal development lectures for the students of the School of Business and Economics have been started at Azerbaijan University. The lecture on "Introduction to Islamic Banking" was held by Mohammad Zubair Mughal, Head of the Islamic Banking and Economy Center.

Opening the event, the dean of the School of Business and Economics congratulated the students on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year and wish them success. Ali Hasanov gave brief information to the participants on personal development lectures and presented the guests.

Head of the Economic Resources Public Union Ruslan Atakishiyev noted that one of the key targets in the Strategic Road Map is to accelerate the development of the non-oil sector. Agriculture and tourism are the main directions of non-oil sector development in the country. The development of Islamic banking services can play a major role in this area.

Mohammed Zubair, head of the Islamic Banking and Economy Center, highlighted the importance and benefits, principles, features, products and application of Islamic banking in the lecture.
