Khagani Aliyev, the translator of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, was the guest of the traditional personal development lectures of Azerbaijan University. Khagani Aliyev gave a lecture on the theme "Secrets of translation profession and encountered difficulties" for the collegues of Foreign Languages Department and students studying in the Translation (English) speciality at the School of Humanities.

Useful information on the concept of translation, types, classifications and principles of translation, requirements for each type of translation, translation profession, organization of translators, activities of the Azerbaijani Young Translators Association (AGTA), professional ethics of interpreters, assistive tools that translators can refer to, translation market and jobs, popular translators, translation schools and differences among them, development of language was delivered at the lecture, and participants' questions were answered.

Khagani Aliyev’s book "English-Azerbaijani comprehensive dictionary" was presented at the event. The presentation was conducted by Ogtay Ismayilzadeh, the teacher of Foreign Languages ​​Department.
