The 1st and 2nd year students of Azerbaijan University majoring in Philology took part in the opening ceremony of the V Baku International Book Exhibition-Fair, which started  its work at the Baku Sports Palace today.

The students got acquainted with the book stands presented to visitors. Having the chance to discuss a modern look at books, work done in the field of propagation of books, the role of books in the rise of intellectual level and etc., the students had the opportunity to communicate with the writers and intelligent people such as Aqil Abbas, Sabir Rustamkhanli, Chingiz Abdullayev, Chingiz Alioglu.

The students were led by the head of the department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature, docent Ulviya Rahimova.

Presentations, discussions, round-tables will be held within the framework of the Book Exhibition-Fair which will last for three days with the participation of more than 30 foreign publishing houses.
