Lectures on writing of scientific papers for second-year graduate students, PhD candidates, dissertators and young researchers of the Azerbaijan University have been launched. At the first round table meeting, important aspects of the research strategy were discussed. 

Opening the event, Nushaba Guliyeva, director of the Center for International Graduate and Doctoral Studies noted that the purpose of the lectures is to guide young researchers in the process of scientific activity and to support them in the implementation of scientific work. 

Then Tunzala Verdiyeva, head of the Social Work Organization Department, Ulviyya Rahimova, head of the Azerbaijani Language and Literature Department, Prof. Gabil Aliyev, head of the Social Sciences Department, Samira Mammadova, head of the Translation and Philology Department, and Aygun Gasimova, head of the Foreign Languages Department spoke and emphasized importance of rules for planning and conducting scientific research, as well as such processes as its writing and publishing, brought to the attention procedure for organization of lectures and gave information on topics. It was noted in the speeches that participants will get acquainted with theoretical foundations of thesis, method and methodology challenges in the research, structure of the scientific article and the work with appropriate journals in the SCOPUS database, structure of thesis, submission of articles to international indexing databases, rules of submitting the thesis research for discussion, and similar topics. 

At the end, the questions of the participants were answered.

It should be noted that lectures are organized at initiative of the Center for International Graduate and Doctoral Studies and with the support of the University departments.
