Implementation of the action plan for “Year of Heydar Aliyev” launched at Azerbaijan University

Azerbaijan University has launched events reflecting the rich and multifaceted life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The first event was held by the Department of Finance and Accounting. Scientific seminar on titled “A state with a strong economy is capable of anything” is organized guided by the Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2022 on declaration of 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the Republic of Azerbaijan and in accordance with the actions plan of Azerbaijan University to be implemented as part of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”.

Head of the Department Nariman Boyukkishi made an opening speech and noted that due to the hard work and strong policy of the architect and founder of the modern Azerbaijan state, national leader Heydar Aliyev, the country's economy, which was in a deep crisis in the first years of independence, was built in accordance with requirements of the modern era and integrated into the world economy. The merits of Heydar Aliyev in development of Azerbaijan economy, both during the Soviet period and during years of independence, are enormous. The economic course set by the national leader Heydar Aliyev retains its significance even today. 

Then, speeches were made by Aliaga Ismailzadeh, Associate Prof. of the Finance and Accounting Department, the Department lecturers Chingiz Mammadov and Gahraman Yusupov, dedicated to the topic “Heydar Aliyev, and strategy and stages of development of the Azerbaijani economy”.   

The scientific seminar continued with discussions and presentations on the topics “Azerbaijani economic model”, “Basic principles for future development”, “Privatization and land reform”, “Successful oil strategy”, “Regional development and social well-being”, “Path to victory”.
