The conference on “Heydar Aliyev and the State youth policy” was organized with the joint organization of the Political Sciences Department of Azerbaijan University, the Youth and Sports Department of Yasamal district and the Public Union “Elin Sesi” Protection of National and Spiritual Values. Memory of our martyrs, who gave their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with a minute of silence, and the national anthem was played at the Conference, organized within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” and held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, Yasamal district.

The conference heard reports by Ilham Safarov, head of the Youth and Sports Department of Yasamal district, and Elvin Talyshinski, head of the Political Sciences Department of Azerbaijan University, head of the Public Union “Elin Sesi” Protection of National and Spiritual Values, PhD in Political Sciences. The speeches provided information about attention and care of the founder of independent Azerbaijan, great leader Heydar Aliyev to young people, important aspects of the state youth policy pursued, personnel training and organization activities carried out in our country.

Then, Rufat Akhundov, the chairman of Public Union “YOL” for Road Traffic Participants' Education and Safety, Babek Maharramov, member of the Public Union “Elin Sesi”, Jamal Karimli, chairman of the “MAYT” Public Union, and Rasul Dadashov, Chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Azerbaijan University, in their speech noted that the state youth policy established by national leader Heydar Aliyev was successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and as a result of this, the youth of Azerbaijan are proving themselves in all fields today. Speakers also provided information about the moral development of young people, their patriotic upbringing, education in foreign countries, the work done to solve the problems of those in need of social protection, the conditions and opportunities created for formation and development of youth organizations.

The event was continued with discussion of the topics under consideration.

The participants also got acquainted with the photo exhibition titled “The national leader Heydar Aliyev and the culture of Azerbaijan-100” opened at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Yasamal district.

It should be noted that the Conference was dedicated to the 29th year of establishment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
