Dean of the ICT faculty- Asif Pashayev`s attended project completed

The grant project entitled "Increasing the professionalism of educators in the field of human-computer interfaces and studying international experience" which was attended by Asif Pashayev, dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan University, has been completed. As a conclusion of the project, the International Eastern Conference was held on "Human-Computer Interaction", and a book entitled "From Theory to Practice: Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering" was published.

The international conference held in hybrid mode at Nakhchivan University was jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye. The conference included 91 articles by 160 authors from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Italy. 75 articles were accepted by the scientific committee of the conference.

At the plenary session of the international event were heard the reported speech of the project manager Shamil Humbatov, director of the Institute of Management Systems of ANAS, Academician Ali Abbasov, expert on the project, teacher of the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye, professor Kurshat Cagıltay, UX designer of "Electronic ARTS" company Agshin Rajabov and dean of the Communication Faculty of Galatasaray University Professor Kerem Rizvanoglu. Dean of ICT faculty Asif Pashayev and mathematics and informatics department teacher Bahram Azizov delivered a report on "Visualization of constructive fractal object images" at the conference. The book entitled "Human-computer interaction and usability engineering from theory to practice" translated into Azerbaijani by Kurshat Çağiltay, a world-renowned scientist in the field - professor of the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye, was also presented at the final conference.

Note that the project is one of the nine projects supported within the grant competition "Development of higher and secondary education for 2021-2022" announced by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 5, 2021. The winner and coordinator of the grant project, which started in December 2021 and will end in October 2022, is at Nakhchivan University.

Asif Pashayev, dean of the ICT faculty of Azerbaijan University, participated in the theoretical and practical training of the project, as well as in the visit organized to the Middle East Technical University of Türkiye in March within the framework of the project.
