An event on "I choose my own future" was held under the joint of departments of Organization of Social Work and Foreign Languages of Azerbaijan University.

The event was opened by Tunzale Verdiyeva, head of the department of Organization of Social Work, doctor of philosophy in pedagogy. Tunzala Verdiyeva noted that the event was carried out in order to implement "State Program for 2019-2024 on illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and fight against drug addiction" approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2019.

At the event, Yelmar Guliyev, the head of the "Place of Hope" Rehabilitation Center, reported on the activity of the center, Zaur Aliyev, addiction psychologist of the "Place of Hope" Rehabilitation Center, reported on the "12 Step" program, Demet Bozok, the head of the Psychological Center, clinical psychologist, reported on the psychological support provided at the center.

Doctor, clinical social worker Konul Efendiyeva, teacher of the Department of Organization of Social Work Firuza Huseynova, head of the Department of Foreign Languages Samira Mammadova, second-year student of master's degree in youth work Shalan Novruzov, third-year student of social work, chairman of the "Empathy Club" Mahammad Alakbarov spoke about the difficulties that may arise in the adaptation and integration of drug addicts into society and the role of social workers in their elimination. At the event, interactive conversations on the topic were held with the participants, printed materials and educational booklets on the fight against drug addiction were distributed to them.
