Tunzala Verdiyeva, Head of the Department of Social Work at the University of Azerbaijan, and Aygun Muradli, Lecturer of the Department, organized a joint event organized by the Eastern European University of Georgia and the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. At the two-day international conference "Impact on Georgia" they presented a research paper entitled "The role of social work education in higher education institutions in the future impact of social workers on the social welfare of society."

In the report, our employees discussed the concept of social work and the status of a social worker, social work education and history in Azerbaijani universities, vocational training in social work, approved by the Board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 26, 2006. Establishment of civil service positions and labor professions in the field of

defense, medical and social expertise and rehabilitation as a social work specialist in the Unified Tariff-Specialty Questionnaire, Law on Social Service, Order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed in 2014, Approval of the Bachelor's degree program in "050813 - Social Work" and subjects taught in accordance with the state standards of higher education in "Social Work", as well as agents and services related to social work and social services in our country, social information on measures taken in the field of work they gave.

The purpose of the conference, which is attended by scientists, researchers and specialists from various universities and research centers around the world, is to study issues directly related to the social, cultural, economic and political development of Georgian higher education in the international context. The conference was attended by University College London (UK), Middlesex University (UK), University of Hong Kong (China), Gaziantep University (Turkey), International School of Management (Slovakia), Rivne Regional Pedagogical Education Institute (Ukraine), Alicante University ( Spain), University of Oslo (Norway), University of Manchester - Moscow School of Social Sciences and Economics (UK - Russia), University of Nicosia (Cyprus) and representatives of various universities in Georgia.

Professor of Azerbaijan University Paul Gibbs also spoke at the online international conference. The professor's report was dedicated to "Holding academics accountable for academic freedoms".
