Students of Azerbaijan University Sarkhan Abbaszade (Computer Engineering, IV course) and Nigar Rahimova (Translation, II course) were awarded on the occasion of the "February 2 - Youth Day" festivity by Nasimi District Executive Power. In general, the youth embodied in the socio-political life, education, sports, science, culture of the region were awarded the honorary decrees and precious gifts of Nasimi District Executive Power on 35 nominations.

Advanced youth in the field of production, science, culture, education, social, scientific-pedagogical activity and sports of Nasimi district, as well as,  MPs, university rectors and community representatives participated in the event "The youth are our future".

The head of Nasimi District Executive Power Asif Askerov welcomed the invited guests and noted that The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism was established in 1994 under the decree of national leader Heydar Aliyev, whose aim was the strength of  Azerbaijani youth in every aspect. The first forum of independent Azerbaijani youth was held on February 2, 1996, on the initiative of the national leader. Heydar Aliyev signed an order on “the announcement of February 2 - Day of Azerbaijani Youth” in 1997. The Youth Day was celebrated in Azerbaijan in the area of CIS and East European countries for the first time. Important steps to solve the youth problems are taken by President Ilham Aliyev.

The rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva and a group of teachers from the university participated in the concert program given by the Baku Music Academy Youth Chamber Orchestra, the Children's Youth Development Centers No.2 and No.3.
