The Department of Science held a training on "Creating personal profiles on scientific platforms" for the teaching staff of the University of Azerbaijan. The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the University, r.e.d. Yusif Gasimov said that the "Roadmap for 2022 to improve the international ranking of scientific publications" was signed in March this year by the Chairman of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov. The active and coordinated participation of science and education institutions in the implementation of priorities for the development of scientific potential within the implementation of the Road Map is of great importance. Rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva signed an order as a first step to implement the work of universities. The order states that personal profiles of teachers working at the University of Azerbaijan should be created in ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia databases by May 31, 2022, and the ORCID identification number should be provided, and the science department should conduct awareness-raising training for the teaching staff. As a second step in the implementation of the road map, the training was organized by the Department of Science.

Then the head of the Science Department Latifa Agamaliyeva made a presentation on "Creating personal profiles on scientific platforms." Latifa Agamaliyeva noted that today the scientific activity of researchers, quantitative and qualitative indicators in this field are determined mainly through scientific platforms.

The head of the department informed the teaching staff about the rules of creating personal profiles in ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia, obtaining the ORCID code, an international system for identifying authors of scientific articles, and placing previously published but not online articles in existing open academic systems.

The training ended with a discussion on the topic and answering questions.
