Another webinar during a pandemic at the Azerbaijan University is dedicated to the topic: "Transition from virtual communication to virtual education." The webinar was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Informatics.

At the webinar, it was noted that the coronavirus pandemic, which the whole world is fighting, has had a serious impact on full-time education and made it necessary to use platforms that make distance education possible. At the Azerbaijan University, classes from the first days of the quarantine regime began using the Microsoft Teams platform and continue online. Before the pandemic, the Internet was mainly in the foreground as a platform for virtual communication, but now it has begun to play a large role as a platform for virtual education.

Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies Asif Pashayev in his speech on the topic: "5G: myths and truth" explained the concept of 5G and gave information about the advantages over previous communication standards. Asif Pashayev clarified the relationship between the operation of stations serving fifth generation mobile communications and the coronavirus pandemic. The dean also highlighted cloud technologies underlying virtual education tools.

Head of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Gabil Aliyev spoke about the programs used in the world and our country in the process of virtual education, gave information about the working principles of the platforms "Zoom" and "Microsoft Teams", about their similarities and differences. Gabil Aliyev clarified the information on the security and privacy concerns of the Zoom platform.

The teachers and students attending the event were also explained the operating principles of other tools included in the Office 365 utility, which is one of Microsoft's cloud solutions.

It should be noted that webinars during the pandemic are hosted using the Microsoft Teams platform of the Office 365 utility. The next webinar on the topic: “The impact of Covid -19 on education” will be organized by the Department of Foreign Languages today. The webinar starts at 13.30.
