Professor of Azerbaijan University Asif Hajiyev took part in the international scientific-practical seminar "Dialogue of Civilizations and Intercultural Cooperation" held in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation. The event organized by Moscow State Pedagogical University and International Pedagogical Society for Support of the Russian Language with support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Education and other official organizations, this traditional seminar is attended by leading scientists and educators from many countries. At this year's meeting of this traditional seminar on "Education and dialogue for peace and humanity", Professor Asif Hajiyev made a report entitled "Russian-language education in the Republic of Azerbaijan in the context of online education."

In his speech, Professor Asif Hajiyev spoke about the tolerant attitude to the language and culture of the peoples living in our country noting that the Russian language is widely used in public life of the country, the Russian-language press, cultural institutions, science and education institutions are developing, and both secondary and higher education in Russian is funded from the state budget. Professor Asif Hajiyev informed the seminar participants on the popularity of the Russian language with concrete facts and statistics. Underlining the role of friendship and interstate cooperation in the development of Russian-language education, Asif Hajiyev said that this process was carried out in accordance with the state interests, national interests and ethnic mentality of students in Azerbaijan, thus strengthening public solidarity and intercultural dialogue.

Speaking about the recent positive experience in the use of online teaching and virtual tools in the country in connection with the pandemic and shared his views on the tasks ahead, Asif Hajiyev proposed to create joint author teams and electronic resources, interactive tools in this area, to develop an attractive methodology using the element of intellectual games, to form a joint educational network. our country aroused deep interest and satisfaction among the seminar participants as an exemplary situation in the CIS.

It should be noted that Professor Asif Hajiyev recently gave an online lecture on "History, typology and poetics of Russian network literature (compared to Azerbaijani network literature)" for teachers, students and doctoral students of Moscow State Pedagogical University and his lecture started the international enlightenment lecture of the university, his article on this topic and a special textbook on Russian network literature for Russian universities were published in the prestigious Moscow magazine Ethnodialogs.

Within the framework of the conference, Professor Asif Hajiyev participated in the organizational meeting and reporting meeting of the International Pedagogical Society for Support of the Russian Language, of which he is a co-founder and a member of the Coordination Council, and was re-elected a member of the International Coordination Council.
