Azerbaijan University held a presentation ceremony of the book “Açırıq qapıları, örtürük qapıları, keçirik qapılardan” (We open the doors, we close the doors, we go through the doors)  by Korkhmaz Guliyev, professor of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature.

The head of the department, associate professor Ulviya Rahimova, noted the importance of the book for both philologists and the readers.

The author of the book, prof. Korkhmaz Guliyev, touched on the articles written about Mirza Fatali Akhundov, Jalil Mammadguluzade, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, who still need to be researched in Azerbaijani literary studies. In his speech, Korkhmaz Guliyev emphasized that the scientific value of these artists is insufficient.

The Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor  Javanshir Yusifli, who participated in the presentation, also noted the importance of the published book for the scientific community.

Professor of the department Asif Hajiyev, head of the Department of Social Sciences, prof. Gabil Aliyev, dean of the Faculty of Humanities, associate professor Safar Mammadov and head of the Department of Organization of Social Work, Ph.D. in Pedagogy Tunzala Verdiyeva also shared their opinions on the articles published in the book and wished the author success. 

The scientific editor of the book is associate professor Ulviya Rahimova, the reviewers are prof.  Asif Hajiyev and prof. Javanshir Yusifli. The book contains articles devoted to various problems of literary studies.

The textbook, consisting of 414 pages, is intended for students studying philology, researchers in the field, philologist-teachers and a wide readership.
