The presentation of the book "Karabakh Victory - Shusha" by Zaur Aliyev, associate professor of the department of organization of social work at Azerbaijan University, was held. Tunzale Verdiyeva, head of the Department of Organization of Social Work, moderated the event. The head of the department said the event was held to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 05, 2022, on the declaration of 2022 as the "Year of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the plan of events to be implemented within the framework of the "Year of Shusha" of Azerbaijan University.

Safar Mammadov, the dean of the faculty of humanities, Ulviyya Rahimova, head of the department of Azerbaijani language and literature, and Huseyn Huseynli, the head teacher of the department, spoke at the presentation and shared their opinions about the book.

In his speech, the author Zaur Aliyev talked about his memories of Shusha, the reason for the book's creation and the process before publication.

In the end, the author signed the books and presented them to teachers and students.

The book examines the history of Shusha, considered the cultural cradle of Azerbaijan, and the period before the occupation. The introductory article entitled "The miracle of the number 8 and Shusha...". Significant historical events in the city of Shusha and the town's economic, political and cultural life have been written based on both historical documents and information provided by living witnesses.

"Karabakh", "History of Shusha", "Shusha Mosques", "About Shusha", "Abode of Talents", "National Heroes", "Historical-Religious Monuments", etc. The articles reflected extensive information about Shusha.

The book's reviewers intended for researchers studying the history of Karabakh, Dr Bayramov Imdad, Doctor of Sciences in Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy Tunzale Verdiyeva, journalist Agayev Anar, Fakhraddin Hajibeyli, the editor is Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogy Ahmadov Humeyir.

The 125-page book was published in the "Optimist" LLC printing centre and intended for a wide readership.
