The winners of the contest for the best presentation on “Historical and architectural monuments of Karabakh destroyed by Armenians”, organized by the Student Scientific Society of the Information and Communication Technologies Faculty of Azerbaijan University, were awarded. Purpose of the competition dedicated to the "Year of Shusha" is to study by students the monuments of Karabakh destroyed by Armenians in the conflict and occupation period, including formation of presentation skills among students.  

According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by Hajizade Arzu Shakhruz gizi (1st year student majoring in Organization of Tourism of the Faculty of Business and Economics), the second place was taken by Abbaszade Ilkana Fuad gizi (1st year student majoring in  Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies), and the third place went to Mammadov Nahid Ali oglu (3rd year student majoring in  History of the Faculty of Humanities). Winners and participants were awarded gifts and certificates by Yusif Gasimov, the vice-rector for Scientific Affairs, Asif Pashayev, the dean of the Information and Communication Technologies Faculty, and Rashad Mastaliyev, the head of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department.  

It should be noted that the competition was organized in order to ensure implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 05, 2022 on declaring 2022 the “Year of Shusha” in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the action plan of the Azerbaijan University within the framework of the “Year of Shusha”.
