Lecturer oof Finance and Accounting Department of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Economics Gahraman Yusupov made a report at the conference entitled “Sustainable development of Tourism and socio-cultural innovations in the modern information space”. Gahraman Yusupov's report was devoted to the topic “Economy of the region: socio-economic impact of tourism”.

Gahraman Yusupov also took an active part in the discussions of the breakout session of the conference. The session discussed the quality of education in the tourism specialty in educational institutions, attracting students to pass internship in travel companies and hotels, problems in the activities of tourist guides, and proposals were announced.

The main purpose of the conference held at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts ( ASUCA) and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of this university is to study the modern development trends of the tourism and social-cultural service environment, to make effective suggestions on the comparative evaluation of applied innovative technologies. The event was organized in three sections, namely “Tourism and economy”, “Librarianship and information activities. Museum studies and archiving”, “Social work and sociology, art criticism”. As üell as such topics as “Tourism and social environment”, “The importance of national culinary tourism in the promotion of the country”, “Tourism factor in cultural relations of Azerbaijan and Turkey”, “Organization of work with electronic information resources in libraries”, “Integration of innovative technologies into key segments of the tourism industry”, “Main directions of modern museum activities”, “Heydar Aliyev's role in building a new Azerbaijani society”, “Development of scientific thinking”, “Principles of sustainable regional development in the tourism sector” and etc. were discussed.
