Scientific seminar of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Azerbaijan University was held. At the seminar, lecturer of the department Bahram Azizov made a report about “An integrated approach to design of automated systems related to socio-economic and environmental sphere, using decision support systems".

The report is devoted to emphasizing the need to use the knowledge and experience of a large number of experts in solving some complex structural issues. Of great importance is the collection and storage for the purpose of future use of expert information, that is, information based on their knowledge and experience necessary to address the issue of decision-making in complex systems. Storing a large amount of expert information, processing this information and obtaining conclusions requires a lot of labor and time. Issues of this type require accurate and quick conclusion in real time, that is, finding a solution. The speaker proposed a new comprehensive approach to solving these types of problems and implemented the results in Mathlab/Simulink. 

At the end of the seminar, Bahram Azizov answered the questions. 

The scientific seminar was attended by staff of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department and graduate students majoring in Computer Engineering.
