The next scientific seminar of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Azerbaijan University was held. At the seminar the lecturer of the Department, associate professor Rahim Rahimov, made a presentation on the topic “Study of possibilities of applying methods of solving optimal management issues in social, technical, medical and other practical areas”.

The speaker gave detailed information to seminar participants about development of devices that allow biometric identification and the criteria for finding optimal output states of mathematical models describing the processes at this time.

Rahim Rahimov's report was met with interest and the seminar continued with discussions around the topic. Development of the presented results in multidisciplinary form together with other employees of the Department, obtaining new results in both theoretical and practical form were set as new goals. It was decided to continue this scientific works.

The scientific seminar was attended by employees of the Department and students majoring in the relevant specialties in the master's program.
