President of the International Association of Social Work Schools Annamaria Campanini was a guest at the Department of Social Work. Head of the Department of Social Work Organization of Azerbaijan University Aygun Musayeva and Head of International Relations Department Bakhtiyar Badalov represented Azerbaijan University at the event. Executive Director of Azerbaijan Social Work Public Union Lamiya Rzayeva attended the meeting as well.

Improvement of national standards of social work education and adaptation to international standards were discussed at the event, and exchange of views was held. The membership of  Azerbaijan University in the international community was also discussed, and the representatives were informed about the advantages of being a member of the organization at the meeting.

It should be noted that the International Association of Social Work Schools was founded in 1928. The main mission of the organization is to represent and promote social business education globally, to prepare global standards for social work education, to set up unions for social work teachers and social workers' and such kind of issues.
