The members of the Student Youth Organization of the Azerbaijan University congratulated the teachers giving the special postcards that were prepared by them on the occasion of the 5th of October - International Teachers' Day .

The members of  the SYO were received by rector Saadat Aliyeva and they delivered  teachers’ congratulations on their professional holiday. Speaking to the students, the rector thanked them for the special preparation and attention.

It should be noted that the International Teacher's Day, celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world, was founded by UNESCO in 1994. This date is also a part of the UN's international and global days system. The celebration of this day indicates teachers’ position in society, their role in education and development.
