The presentation on “Berlitz” foreign language learning method and a related demo lesson have been held for the students of the School of Humanities. The participants of the presentation included the students of the School of Translation and English Language Teaching and several staff members. 

The ceremony conducted by “Max Group” language education centre was opened by an executive director Fargana Farmanli. Executive director spoke about the activities of "Max Group", offered courses and services, as well as about the "Berlitz" method. 

Fargana Farmanli stated that center teaches foreign languages with the Berlitz method which is considered to be the most  effective language learning method. "The Berlitz Method" founded in 1878 uses the direct method and focuses on using language as a tool for communication. The direct method, as opposed to the traditional grammar translation method, advocates teaching through the target language only – the rationale being that students will be able to work out grammatical rules from the input language provided, without necessarily being able to explain the rules overtly. “Max Group” is the first center using the method of Berlitz. 

Afterwards, the teacher of the center Dilara Tagiyeva conducted a demo lesson for the staff and students of Azerbaijan University. 

The teachers and students have expressed their interest in “Berlitz” method, although it does not meet the requirements of the Translation and English language majors.
