The 10th Internal Chess Tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Azerbaijan University. The competition, which was attended by 30 students, was organized on the basis of the “blts system”. The students were competing individually.

Mirhuseyn Rovshan oglu Agayev, 5th year student of the Faculty of Business and Economics majoring in Marketing, became the winner of the tournament. Second place was taken by Rasul Elkhan oglu Guliyev, a 4th year student of the same Faculty majoring in Finance, and third place went to Gulustan Intigam gyzy Guluyeva, a first-year student of the Faculty of Humanities majoring in Social Work.

The winners were awarded with cups and certificates.

The competition is held in order to effectively organize leisure activities for students and increase the popularity of chess.
