4th year students majoring in social work at the Azerbaijan University are undergoing pre-diploma internship at the Shuvalan Child and Family Support Center under the State Committee for Family, Women and Children. Students from the center are children with physical and mental disabilities, as well as children with disabilities, their families, orphans and neglected children, socially vulnerable minors and their families, refugees and IDPs, as well as families of martyrs. children and their family members, children in children's institutions and their family members, victims of violence, persons released from prisons, children with single parents (guardians and custodians), work with low-income families. They also participate in practical work with beneficiaries, conduct trainings as trainers, and visit families.

The internship will end on May 24, 2022. The number of interns at the center is 7, and the head of the internship is Ph.D. Tunzala Verdiyeva.

It should be noted that Shuvalan Child and Family Support Center - In the alternative care model, which includes support for children, women and families at risk in the community, out-of-service but service-oriented, aimed at providing non-community services to the population in case of force majeure support and carry out activities. By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in 2007 Shuvalan was transferred to the State Committee for Child and Family Support.
