Our students are involved in international joint research

Students majoring in social work at Azerbaijan University involved in an international joint research project. The project aim was to unite and link COVID-19 pandemic studies conducted in different countries around the world implemented as part of the SCRIPS (International Student Sustainability Platform) platform of the ATLAS & RB Research Institute in the United States.

Yusif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the University of Azerbaijan, said that SCRIPS is an online student information exchange platform for joint international learning. Through this platform, students connect with peers in other countries to discuss global issues and learn about solutions. 13 countries selected students for this project. They will explore the effects of the pandemic in their home countries. The results will publish in the form of articles. The platform also plans to study the refugee and IDP crisis and migration issues at the international level.

Azerbaijan is represented in the project by our students Aygun Gurbanova, Aygun Muradli, Lala Huseynli. Doctoral student Aygun Gurbanova "Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on domestic violence", Master's student Aygun Muradli "Impact of the pandemic on the lives of people with thalassemia," undergraduate the 4th year student Lala Huseynli "Impact of quarantine rules on people over 65 to their socio-psychological condition" will investigate the subject. The students started their research after relevant theoretical and practical seminars.
