Nasimi district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party plans to hold a series of events on September 27th - Martyrs' Remembrance Day. One of these events is the essay competition "Letter to my martyred brother" carried out among the students of universities located in Nasimi district. About 100 students of Azerbaijan University from various faculties joined the competition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition held for the students of Azerbaijan University, Chairperson of the New Azerbaijan Party’s Nasimi district branch, MP Malahat Ibrahimgizi informed the students about the competition stating that 2020 was inscribed in golden letters in the history of the Azerbaijani people. Under the leadership of victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Iham Aliyev, our National Army liberated the Azeri lands kept under occupation by Armenian aggressors for almost thirty years. The 44-day Patriotic War for justice resulted in a great victory. This victory was gained at the cost of the blood of hundreds of martyrs. We owe this victory to our martyrs and veterans. Each of us as a citizen is responsible for bringing up the new generation of young people alike our martyrs. In this reagrd, the New Azerbaijan Party’s Nasimi district branch consistently implements various events and projects to promote the heroes of both the First Karabakh War and the Great Patriotic War among the youth, frequently contacts martyr families and veterans and shows support to solution of their problems.

Note that, in the view of the pandemic, the competition is organized online. The rules of the competition are posted on the Facebook page of the Nasimi district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party. The jury of the competition also includes the families of martyrs and veterans. The essay competition is scheduled to end on May 15.
