First year master’s students studying Social Work and Youth Affairs at the Azerbaijan University underwent a one-day internship at the «Shelter and Social Rehabilitation Institution for Vulnerable Groups” of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population. During the internship, the masters got acquainted with the working principles of all departments and employees of the shelter, and appreciated the activities carried out in the field of various types and forms of social services organized in the shelter. Finally, the masters expressed their gratitude to the management of the shelter for the conditions created, emphasizing the importance of such internships for their professional development.

The meeting was organized by Mayis Aliyev, Professor of the Department of Social Work at Azerbaijan University, a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who teaches “Social Service Policy”. It should be noted that in order to grow as a highly qualified and competitive specialist, students regularly visit various internships outside of classes, actively participate in trainings, scientific forums, and intellectual games.

The admission plan of Azerbaijan University for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees will be announced to the public in the coming days, as well as posted on all Internet resources of our university. We would like to inform the entrants that admission to Azerbaijan University is carried out only by the State Examination Center and in accordance with the general rules. Admission to our university is carried out both on a paid basis and on the basis of state order. In addition, there is an Applicant Counseling Center at Azerbaijan University at all stages of the student admission campaign. The best trained staff of our center provides technical support to applicants, as well as advice on choosing specialty. It was established by the State Examination Center in 2018 and has been operating for 5 years. All services offered by the center for applicants are free of charge. The final exams are over. Applicants are now waiting for the first attempt of the second stage of the entrance exam.
