Our student took part in an international event in Georgia

Jasur Madatzadeh, a third-year student majoring in social work at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Azerbaijan, took part in the Youth Exchange international event in Bakuriani, Georgia, as a part of the Youth Dialouge 4 Social Change exchange program. The event was organized with the participation and cooperation of young people from 6 European Union and partner countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Denmark, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. Jasur Madatzadeh acted as a member of the organizing committee and represented the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the project, discussions, team work and role-playing games on topics such as “social isolation”, “isolated youth”, “Gender equality and migration problems”, “youth opening the world of informal education”, “development of youth's personal skills” and “making youth a meaningful part of a civilized society to create positive changes” were organized.

The project participants got acquainted with each other's culture and traditions, as well as visited the sights of the host country, Akhaltsikhe region of Georgia, Bakuriani, Borjomi and Tbilisi. Azerbaijan Culture Evening was also organized within the project.

The aim of the project is to empower young people to be more active in civil society, to encourage them to develop various skills necessary for their

personal and professional development, to teach them various forms of informal education, to practice.
