The first-year students of Tourism and Hotel Management of Azerbaijan University went on an excursion to the Museum of Miniature Books. The excursion organized by the Department of the Azerbaijani Language and Literature was led by the teacher of this department Aynur Hasanova.

The students first got acquainted with the sections of the museum. Museum staff provided students with detailed information about the history of the museum, types of books and rare exhibited books, and interesting facts were presented.

Among the books that attract more attention in the museum, where about 8,000 miniature books of various types and subjects are exhibited, are the books of classics of

world and Azerbaijani literature, Kitabi- Dede Gorgut, Koran Karim, Koroghlu. The books mostly exhibited in Azerbaijan section are the books written about current and former state leaders.

The first private Museum of Miniature Book in the world, located on the territory of “Icheri Sheher” Historical and Architectural Reserve, is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest collection of miniature books in the world.
