The next pandemic webinar of Azerbaijan University was held by the Department of Foreign Languages. The presentations and speeches were in English in “The Impact of Covid-19 on Education” webinar organized by Samira Mammadova, the head of the department.

Initially, the problems that occurred in education due to the pandemic, the solutions, and distance education were discussed. It was followed by the flashmob entitled “Education cannot wait”.

It was mentioned in the webinar that due to the pandemic, millions of pupils and students have been left aside from education for a long time. In order to keep the continuity of education during quarantine, the classes are conducted online with the help of digital technologies. All these will challenge the world education system in the post-pandemic.

The students of the university also joined the webinar and shared their experiences about online classes.

It should be noted that pandemic webinars are organized on the “Microsoft Teams” platform of “Office 365”. The next event will be held on May 4th, Monday, by the Department of Social Sciences. The topic of the webinar is “Mass Epidemic in World History: the similar and different aspects of Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.” The event will start at 13:30.
