The Accounting program prepares specialists in financial accounting, preparation of financial reports, and organization of tax accounting in companies. The purpose of the program is to provide knowledge and skills in financial management analysis, profit planning and control, cash management, basic financial statements, double-entry bookkeeping, and the concepts and recording of assets, liabilities, and equity.

Attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and mathematical thinking, responsibility, and an interest in working with numbers are considered advantages for applicants who want to choose this field.

Admission to the Accounting program is available in both Azerbaijani and English sections. For students admitted to the English section, the period of study is 5 years, including 1 academic year for English language preparation.

Education

Students learn financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, the tax system, financial reporting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), economic analysis, and financial control.

Graduates can work in public and private organizations, banks, audit and consulting companies, and in the tax sector, as accountants, auditors, financial controllers, and in various tax-related positions in international companies.
